
Are you planning a visit with a large group or a school class?
Here you can easily make enquiries about group bookings for 10 or more people.
You can use the email link to request tickets for groups and school classes in advance. Please note that this is a request – you will subsequently receive a confirmation email with further details. To make a request, please include the following information in the email:
- Name of the organisation / group
- Total number of people
- Number of people eligible for a discount (pupils aged 15 and over, apprentices, students and holders of a social pass issued in North Rhine-Westphalia (e.g. the Köln-Pass). Please have your proof of eligibility ready at the entrance.
- Number of free tickets available (children under the age of 14; people with disabilities who can present a "B" mark on their severe disability card, plus one accompanying person per person; members of the Zentral-Dombau-Verein). Please have your proof of eligibility ready at the entrance.
- Your telephone number
Please note that proof of eligibility must be presented at the time of your visit in order to claim any discounts or free tickets.
Important: It usually takes at least 48 hours to process your enquiry. If you are planning a visit at short notice (within 48 hours), please purchase your tickets directly from the ticket office in the Kurienhaus, Roncalliplatz 2, 50667 Cologne. The ticket office is open daily from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm.

Entrances and facilities
- Main entrance – West Portal: on the west side of the cathedral (twin-tower facade), accessible via the Domplatte
- Prayer entrance – North Portal: on the north side of the cathedral, near Bahnhofsvorplatz
- Treasury: on the north side of the cathedral, above the North Portal, accessible via stairs
- Ticket office – Roncalliplatz 2 (Kurienhaus): east of the cathedral on Roncalliplatz, with ticket shop and information desk
- Cathedral Shop: on the south side of the cathedral, between the main entrance and the tower ascent
- Tower ascent entrance: on the south side of the cathedral, next to the Cathedral Shop, with toilets
- Cathedral Forum / Guided tours: south of the cathedral on the Domplatte
Additional facilities
- Information desk: at the ticket office in the Kurienhaus (Roncalliplatz)
- Toilets: next to the tower ascent entrance (south side of the cathedral)
- Luggage lockers: at Cologne Central Station (north-west of the cathedral)
Getting there
Cologne Central Station (Deutsche Bahn, S-Bahn, U-Bahn, luggage lockers) is located north-west of the cathedral at Bahnhofsvorplatz. From there, the main entrance can be reached via Bahnhofsvorplatz and the Domplatte in a few minutes on foot. Two additional underground entrances are located directly on the Domplatte south of the cathedral.
